We’re pleased to announce the release and deployment of Chinwag Social v4.3.2!
Release Highlights
This release incorporates mostly minor fixes and updates from the previous release, and some small, mostly-cosmetic changes to the theme.
- Font sizes adjusted slightly in some headings for better clarity on mobile devices
- Alt-text popup now follows theme preference (fix for TangerineUI issue #132)
- Other updates from TangerineUI 2.3.
- Fixes and updates from Mastodon 4.3.2.
About Chinwag Social
Chinwag is a “soft” fork of Mastodon, and is intended to maintain feature parity and compatibility with it while making greater efforts to improve user experience and visual accessibility. It integrates TangerineUI as the primary and default web interface, with some minor local customisations and theming. The web interface, by default, will always follow the viewer’s system preference for a light or dark theme.

The current version is now live for all users on Chinwag Social. The full source is available from the Chinwag Code repository.
